More about Accredited Investment Fiduciary® professionals
A financial advisor with the AIF® designation is formally recognized by the Center for Fiduciary Studies for demonstrating a full understanding of how to implement those processes to help individuals and families achieve their investment goals in a responsible manner.
There are four requirements for attaining the AIF® designation:
- Enroll in and complete the AIF® Training
- Pass the AIF® Examination
- Meet the experience requirement
- Submit the application and dues
Included in the application are sections to attest to both the Code of Ethics and Conduct Standards. The Code of Ethics consists of the tenets of ethical conduct expected of all credential holders, while the Conducts Standards pertain to any past criminal and civil litigation, regulatory events, and personal and professional conduct.
Accredited Investment Fiduciary® professionals receive continuing professional education regarding the responsibilities of Investment Fiduciaries and attests to a Code of Ethics regarding her responsibilities of putting clients' needs first. More information about the AIF® designation, click here.
